Position Overview:

The Payroll Manager will oversee global payroll operations for the Americas and Israel, including employee record management, maintaining payroll records, calculating taxes, and balancing payroll accounts. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, manages benefits administration, maintains compliance with local regulations, and serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers. Additionally, the Payroll Manager will lead the payroll operations team, drive process improvements, implement payroll best practices, and support cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Execute accurate and timely weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll schedules across multiple regions (US, Canada, LATAM, Israel)
  • Ensure payroll database reflects current and accurate employee information; verify and input pay and data changes
  • Calculate termination payments, adjustments, retroactive payments, special pays, and overpayments in compliance with local laws
  • Process and audit tax information, direct deposits, and payroll deductions
  • Reconcile timecard adjustments and payroll-related accounts
  • Prepare and distribute reports and payments, including ORP, TRS, ERS, and W2s
  • Conduct recurring audits and reconciliations to ensure payroll and benefits accuracy
  • Partner with Finance and HR to develop and maintain standard reports for operational and compliance needs
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement payroll policies, processes, and system enhancements
  • Ensure internal controls to maintain integrity of personnel and payroll data

Benefits Administration

  • Manage employee benefits, including enrollments, inquiries, changes, and reconciliation of invoices
  • Serve as first point-of-contact for payroll and benefits questions in the Americas and Israel region
  • Ensure proper application of time and attendance policies, paid leave, and other benefit programs
  • Support quarterly and year-end audits for benefits, payroll, workers’ compensation, and 401(k)

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead the Payroll Operations team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations
  • Establish a collaborative and supportive team environment built on trust and respect
  • Cross-train team members to ensure flexibility and minimize process disruptions
  • Partner with managers to streamline hour approvals, reduce payroll errors, and improve cycle time

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify opportunities for payroll process standardization and efficiency improvement
  • Conduct root cause analysis of payroll issues and implement corrective action plans
  • Ensure timely communication of changes to payroll policies, systems, and regulations
  • Confirm accuracy of financial reports and assist with research, analysis, and special projects as required

Qualifications

  • Studies in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field is preferred
  • Experience in payroll and benefits administration across multiple countries, preferably in the Americas and Israel
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, HRIS, labor laws, and compliance requirements across multiple regions
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively across departments and regions
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
