About the Role

As a Senior Accounts Receivable Representative, you will play an important role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing customer accounts, resolving outstanding balances, and ensuring timely and accurate collections.

This is more than a transactional AR position. You'll independently manage accounts and escalations, communicate directly with customers regarding aged receivables, collaborate with teams across the organization, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for other members of the AR team.

Success in this role requires a combination of strong collections experience, attention to detail, customer communication, problem-solving, and ownership.

What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and proactively follow up on past-due invoices via phone and email
• Independently manage aged receivables and customer-level escalations
• Lead customer conversations regarding outstanding balances and payment resolution
• Maintain account aging in accordance with established KPIs and productivity expectations
• Research and resolve short payments, overpayments, returned payments, and other account discrepancies
• Support payment research and credit validation activities
• Determine appropriate small-balance and month-end write-offs in accordance with established procedures
• Make recommendations to leadership regarding the collection of significantly past-due accounts
• Maintain accurate and detailed account and invoice notes

Customer & Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with Sales, Account Executives, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve AR-related concerns
• Provide customers with invoice copies, statements, payment confirmations, and other requested documentation
• Process and distribute reprinted or adjusted invoices as needed
• Provide high-touch support for complex or escalated customer accounts
• Communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the collection process

Senior-Level Support & Team Collaboration

• Serve as an Accounts Receivable subject matter resource for the team
• Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to other AR Representatives on processes and best practices
• Assist team members with complex AR situations and escalations
• Provide coverage for other team members when needed
• Support reporting and payment platforms such as Tableau and SnapPay, as applicable
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, workflows, and overall efficiency
• Consistently work toward meeting or exceeding established aging and performance KPIs
• Perform additional responsibilities based on team needs and assigned workflows

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, Finance, or a related function
• Strong experience managing customer accounts and past-due receivables
• Experience communicating directly with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment resolution
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Ability to remain professional and solution-oriented when handling escalated or complex accounts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a corporate or B2B Accounts Receivable environment
• Experience managing complex or high-value customer accounts
• Strong 10-key speed and accuracy
• Experience mentoring or supporting other AR professionals
• Experience with Tableau, SnapPay, or similar financial/reporting platforms
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Account Management, and Customer Service
