Integrated Marketing Manager, Lifecycle & Campaigns

We’re looking for an Integrated Marketing Manager to own our lifecycle and seasonal marketing campaigns across owned channels. This role combines strategy and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on Braze, copywriting, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll also manage one Integrated Marketing Coordinator and work closely with Sales to deliver effective, brand-sponsored campaigns.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lifecycle & Retention Marketing
- Own lifecycle strategy across email, push, in-app, and SMS using Braze.
- Build, launch, and optimize automated journeys including onboarding, activation, retention, re-engagement, and win-back.
- Define segmentation, targeting, and campaign logic in partnership with Analytics and Product.
- Continuously test messaging, timing, and channel mix to improve lifecycle performance.
Seasonal & Integrated Campaigns
- Lead planning and execution of seasonal, promotional, and tentpole campaigns.
- Own the integrated campaign calendar across lifecycle and owned channels.
- Translate business goals into clear, compelling campaign narratives and execution plans.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Creative, Growth, and Sales to ensure alignment and consistency.
Sponsored & Brand-Funded Campaigns
- Collaborate with Sales and Brand Partnerships to support sponsored lifecycle campaigns, including brand-funded emails, email showcases, and integrated placements.
- Help translate brand objectives into customer-first lifecycle executions that meet both performance and revenue goals.
- Review and refine sponsored messaging to ensure brand alignment, platform best practices, and user experience standards.
- Support packaging, timing, and execution of sponsored lifecycle opportunities within the broader campaign calendar.
Copywriting & Messaging
- Write and edit high-quality copy and briefs for lifecycle programs, seasonal campaigns, and sponsored executions.
- Set messaging direction and standards to ensure a consistent brand voice across all owned channels.
- Brief designers and stakeholders with clear creative direction and messaging objectives.
- Balance brand partner requirements with Shopkick’s voice and customer experience.
Braze Ownership & Execution
- Serve as the primary Braze power user and subject-matter expert.
- Build and QA campaigns, canvases, sponsored sends, and experiments within Braze.
- Partner with Engineering and Data teams on event tracking, personalization, and platform enhancements.
- Stay current on Braze best practices and new feature adoption.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor one Integrated Marketing Coordinator, providing clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Review and approve campaign builds, copy, and execution details.
- Collaborate with Analytics to measure success and share insights with stakeholders.
- Build clear performance reports and post-campaign readouts with learnings and next steps.
The ideal candidate:
Must-Have
- 4–6 years of experience in integrated marketing, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing, preferably in mobile app or consumer tech.
- Hands-on experience with Braze (or comparable lifecycle platforms) required.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills with a proven ability to write high-performing lifecycle and sponsored email messaging.
- Experience executing seasonal, promotional, and brand-sponsored campaigns.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and apply insights to optimization.
- Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, including experience partnering with Sales or Brand teams.
- Required to achieve Braze certification within 30 days of hire if not currently certified.***
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working on monetized lifecycle inventory or brand-funded messaging.
- Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
- Braze and/or BrazeAI Certified.
- Experience supporting revenue-driving marketing initiatives in partnership with Sales.
